CREATIVE
DIRECTION
Concept, Design, and Build.
This bar and restaurant is a project I dreamed up, designed, and brought to life alongside Mac Donald General Contractor and my business partner, designer Noah Johnson. Together, we handled every detail—from floor plans and project management to the final build and launch—delivering a fully realized, ready-to-roll business from the ground up.
THE LITTLE ROOM

FACADE REDUX

FACADE REDUX
The front of the building was struct by a car leaving the brick front structurally unsafe. I drew inspiration from the Art Deco facade's in the Pico area and took photographs of buildings and generated a sketch. I then sent them to Designer Noah Johnson who took the whole design to the next level adding his approach to design and love of historical architecture in Los Angeles. This was the process - structural redesign of the front of the building.

INTERIOR
Before:

INTERIOR DESIGN
The interior design for the space was prefaced in the idea of bringing old quality built warm wood surfaces back to the West Adams neighborhood - drawing on historical references from the Victorian and Craftsman homes in the area. I wanted the experience to feel like it's been there forever and you never heard about it. Pieces were collected from the East coast, refinished and stained, and also added to by master carpenter Larry Haynes.

WRAP UP:
Coming from a family deeply rooted in the restaurant industry—and having built restaurants myself—I bring a unique, holistic approach to design, functionality, and operations. Every detail of this project was carefully considered to create a seamless experience, from booth layout and eye-lines to back bar and kitchen flow. It wasn’t just about how things look for the guest—it was about making life easier and smarter for servers, bartenders, and line cooks too.
